About Us

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Hi, My Name Is Linda Payan_

I'm a former school teacher turn math tutor with over 20 years of experience helping students go from "I can't do this" to "Wow, this is easy!"

When I'm not guiding students through the twists and turns of Algebra, you will probably find me walking at the community center, chasing a pickleball across the court, or cheering on my three boys - Shawn (Captain, United States Marine Corps); Ruben (College); Peter (High School). My husband Ruben (yes, two Rubens in the family!) keeps me laughing throughout the week with his wonderful sense of humor!

There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student have that "light bulb" moment. It's sheer joy for the student (and for me)! Mastery of Algebra happens when the student starts understanding the "why" behind each step. I love seeing the integration of Algebra and Confidence because while Algebra is the gateway to higher mathematics, Confidence is the gateway to life.
